3rd European Forum

The 3rd European Conference on City Centers in Paris, on November 6 and 7, 2025!

After Strasbourg in 2022, the 3rd European Conference on City Centers will take place at the heart of the French capital, in the prestigious setting of the Maison de la Chimie in Paris, on November 6 and 7, 2025.

Organized by Centre-Ville en Mouvement and the Greater Paris Metropolis, this third edition marks another key milestone in the growing European momentum around city center revitalization.

The November 2025 Conference will offer a unique opportunity to present a comprehensive summary of the research and discussions carried out by these Observatories—and to lay the groundwork for a future European action plan for city centers.

Two Days of European-Level Reflection and Dialogue

This conference will bring together delegations from across the European Union with a shared goal: to envision the future of city centers at a European scale, exchange best practices, and collectively build a sustainable, vibrant, and inclusive vision for our urban cores.

A Key Moment: The First Assessment from the European Observatories

Launched in 2022, the European City Center Observatories initiative has, over the past few years, created a collaborative platform focused on essential themes such as:

  • Urban logistics
  • Urban planning and mobility
  • Culture and public space programming
  • City center management

The November 2025 Conference will offer a unique opportunity to present a comprehensive summary of the research and discussions carried out by these Observatories—and to lay the groundwork for a future European action plan for city centers.

Highlights Not to Miss:

  • Inspiring plenary sessions featuring European mayors committed to transforming their cities
  • Thematic field visits within the Greater Paris Metropolis, directly related to issues explored in the Observatories

As Philippe Laurent, President of Centre-Ville en Mouvement, said during the previous edition:

“What an emotional moment to see so many elected officials concerned with the future of city centers, united around a shared European ambition!”

A Strengthened European Ambition

As European citizens increasingly demand better living environments, greater proximity, and more sustainable cities, this event reflects a collective momentum, driven by a strong partnership with the Greater Paris Metropolis—a region emblematic of today’s major urban challenges.
